    This walk is a bucolic combination: a short walk around the lesser-known of the "three Cistercian sisters of Provence" and a visit to this historic site which bears witness to the great influence of the Cistercian order in Provence.

    From the road to the abbey, passing by the washhouse, the surrounding paths immerse us in the reasons which pushed the Cistercians to settle here in 1144: old reed marshes of the Durance, remote and difficult to access by any kind of individual.
    This monument in the image of the Cistercian order, daughter abbey of Morimond, will reveal its secrets as you wander from the church to its refectory, and from the cloister to its chapter room. The different rooms of the monument will give you the opportunity to imagine how the Cistercian monk lived in the Middle Ages and to realize today's monastic life which is almost similar.
